Vhar’Zhul is a fictional community identified in Rimitorry: Daughter of the Dark Alpha. Eru’Kai is introduced as its elder while Rimitorry is being taken toward Nhem’Rakul. The name identifies a community associated with the captors, rather than a second name for the kidnapped child.[1]

Eru’Kai and the captors

Eru’Kai is an old man with white hair, dark skin and a clouded eye. He speaks infrequently, but Zharo listens when he does. His observation that something prompted the child to come quietly follows Rimitorry's private encounter with the man who calls himself Conri Tora.[1]

The captors' journey connects the community to the larger conflict that brings the Five to Nhem’Rakul. Rimitorry's imprisonment and the attempt to use her against her family provoke a destructive response. Eru’Kai's status within the group is part of the hierarchy surrounding that decision.[1][2]

Scope of the name

The supplied passage explicitly calls Eru’Kai the elder of the Vhar’Zhul. It does not supply a census, boundary map or independent founding date for the community. Nhem’Rakul is the named destination and settlement described in the surrounding chapters; those setting details do not by themselves make every use of Vhar’Zhul a geographical synonym.[1][2]
