Deathwave 201

Deathwave 201 is a fictional engineered fighter in Tribal Bloody Beginnings: The Rise of the Dark Alpha. He accompanies Alpha and protects Thirty-Two during the early adult narrative. Polezah identifies him as a Deathwave still in training, distinct from the completed Deathwave 47.

Introduction and appearance

Thirty-Two first sees him in the laboratory. He has dark skin and long black hair and appears approximately fourteen to the narrator. Alpha's command wakes him when Polezah's first instruction does not. He equips himself in black armor with a red cape and a sword that can separate into two blades.

Polezah later explains that he attempted to make 201 more polite so he could blend in on missions. His courtesy to the Proctor is therefore part of the project's behavioral design, alongside the conditioning that makes him a killer.

Destruction of the Council

201 fights beside Alpha when the Council of Wolves is destroyed. Zafira joins the attack and demonstrates greater speed and strength than the young operative. During the fighting, 201 catches a thrown knife aimed at Thirty-Two and returns it to the attacker.

He explains that the Proctor records while he protects. The exchange belongs to 201, although Thirty-Two's early reading of another subject's file briefly leads the narrator to associate the fighter with number 47. Polezah's later correction resolves the identification.

Alley confrontation

When Rimitorry attacks Thirty-Two, 201 intercepts her chakram and engages her. She cuts his cheek and frustrates his defensive patterns. Three Harpies enter the confrontation, but Zuberi ultimately stops the encounter and identifies Rimitorry.

201 remains alive and follows Thirty-Two back to the den. Polezah subsequently describes him as not yet ready and nowhere near 47's level. The scene establishes a working guard with limits rather than an invincible completed subject.

Training Tower

At the Training Tower, the narrator explicitly identifies the fighter near Alpha's platform as number 201. Khalembo fights the three Harpies before turning to him. The split weapon attacks from several angles, but Khalembo uses his scythe to force openings.

Khalembo injures 201's knee and sword arm, strikes his throat with the scythe's haft and puts him on the floor. He declares that fifty percent was enough and threatens to kill him, then steps back and orders him to rise. The text leaves 201 alive as Thirty-Two redirects the forty-five trainees against Khalembo.

The later battle in the Dark Forest involves 47. Khalembo's defeat there cannot be read as 201 returning to reverse the result at the tower.

Project and identity

201's number identifies a subject within the Deathwave program, not a species or a family surname. The conditioning, enhancement and institutional control he shares with other subjects do not establish biological kinship between them. His demonstrated role is that of a young operative serving Alpha and Polezah while protecting the assigned Proctor.
