The temple of the twelve anchors is the unnamed religious and teaching site visited by Sakori and Yanna in Sakori: Son of the Dark Alpha. This article uses a descriptive title for the temple; the supplied chapter does not establish it as a formal proper name. Sava teaches there among monks and visiting warriors.[1]
Court and binding
Twelve stone figures surround a court with a dark central ring. According to Sava, the figures connect twelve living gods to the binding that keeps their father sealed. They are neither the gods' bodies nor individual prisons. The gods remain elsewhere on Murder Island and sustain the binding through the anchors.[1]
The court relieves the outside pressure on shaped Ka’ru. This does not create free energy or make its users inexhaustible. Within it, beginners can practice small flames, controlled heat and healing with less interference from the island's hunger.[1]
Visitors and rules
Sava admits Sakori and Yanna as two warriors, without recognizing an imperial right to command the temple. Food, rest and instruction are available, and combat requires mutual consent. Sava refuses payment for the knowledge she offers.[1]
The couple spend several days learning before leaving on the tenth morning of their journey. At the boundary Yanna's small spark is quickly stripped away by the island, confirming the practical difference between the protected court and the surrounding world. The energy used remains spent.[1]
