Selka Nine-Cuts

Selka Nine-Cuts is a fictional Chamber survivor in Eshari: Daughter of the Dark Alpha. The fighter takes part in the ambush near Split-Tooth Wells while Eshari's family is searching for Yanna. Selka Nine-Cuts counts the wounds she inflicts and uses paired attacks.

Coordinated attack

Selka Nine-Cuts, Vhorin and Oth Marr fight through a shared rhythm shaped by their earlier training. Years of accumulated Ka’ru make them dangerous to the younger members of the search party. Makhera, Knargz and Zuberi take over the main confrontation while the soldiers are held back.

Eshari notices the repeated seventh-count breath in their pattern. Her warning and Kovi’s disruption of Selka’s vision create an opening that breaks the attackers’ coordination. The battle then resolves through separate defeats rather than an effortless victory over ordinary soldiers.

Death and aftermath

Selka Nine-Cuts is killed by Makhera. The deaths transfer power to the surviving opponents, leaving them stronger but badly injured. Reth Vaun then reveals that he wanted them filled with new power before making his own attack.

Nebu temporarily restores the dead attackers during his later demonstration and then ends those renewed lives. The intervention does not leave Selka Nine-Cuts alive at the conclusion of the encounter.
